New Orleans (post Katrina)We finally made it out to see how our city is doing. It's complicated. In some areas, like the quarter and downtown, you see things slowly moving back to normal. Traffic is lighter, but things are generally open. However, when you step out into other areas, you find that the city is far from normal. It's strange, almost like a war zone. Quiet. Barren. The city is going to take a lot of work to come back. The hurricane wasn't the problem, it was flooding. And anything that didn't flood was looted.
