OK, this is now my favorite place to ride in Texas. It's a bit of a trek, 8 hours each way, but if you want a long weekend, this is the place to go. As you drive up, the Amarillo area is incredibly flat, so flat that you are a bit worried that maybe you made a mistake. Then, when you get to the part you see the second largest canyon in the country. |

I-35 North to Texas 287 (Past Ft. Worth). Take 287 North to FM 1151. Go west on FM 1151 and then take FM 1541 south, follow the directions to the park. |

Medium on terrain, high on the fact that this is desert riding. Not technical, but you have all types of natural obstacles from vegetation and wildlife. |
