After a morning at Passion Play and refueled by lunch, we decided to hit Lake Leatherwood on the way home and do some shuttle runs. There is a shuttle bus that carries riders from the bottom up to the top in a couple of minutes. Based on the downhill run times, every time we hit the shuttle lot the bus was pulling up again, so it was a great day. With the quick shuttle up to the top and a short ride to the "Hub", you can get in a bunch of runs. We were only there for about an hour and we still managed to get in four runs. And these runs really wear you out quickly, I don't think I could have done a full day of it.

In addition to all of the downhill shuttling, there are also regular XC trails if you want to make a full day of it and break up the exercise.

Van Buren and then a left onto 204. If you end up near the baseball fields you can park there, but then you have to ride through the first to get to the shuttle pickup.
